Development of the new State Housing and Homelessness Strategy has reached another important milestone, with broad sector and community engagement to inform the strategy concluding over the weekend.

During this engagement period there was excellent input from the housing sector, industry and communities across the state. There were high levels of participation at three sector forums held in the metropolitan area, and seven sector and community sessions held in regional locations.

There has also been strong interest through online engagement platforms Talk About Housing and YourSAy.

The broad range and depth of conversations, insights and perspectives offered during the engagement process demonstrated a real commitment to developing an inclusive, effective and long-term strategy to improve housing outcomes for all South Australians.

Thank you to everyone across the state who participated. The large amount of input received will now be collated and considered in the drafting of the strategy, which will be released by the end of 2019.
