Every day, SA Housing Trust is building capability to ensure our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders are engaged in housing service decisions that affect them and their communities.

In August 2021, we launched our first Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), which supports the national reconciliation movement and drives activity to improve outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, including our staff, our customers and the communities we serve.

In September 2024, we launched our second Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan which continues to reinforce and strengthen our commitment to deeper levels of reconciliation to First Peoples through a shared vision:

Aboriginal peoples in South Australia have equitable access to safe, secure, and affordable homes achieved through shared decision-making and culturally informed services that maintain personal and cultural wellbeing.’

Our RAP strives for cultural awareness and competency across SA Housing Trust, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander economic development outcomes and is designed to build strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in South Australia.
