Significant progress is being made in Seaton as part of one of the largest urban renewal projects currently underway in South Australia. The project will deliver around 400 public homes in a range of sizes and styles, including:
- 229 two-bedroom homes (single storey and townhouses).
- 57 four-bedroom homes (single storey and townhouses).
- 100 two-bedroom apartments.
This is in addition to around 30 homes already constructed in an earlier stage of the project.
The Seaton development will also include hundreds of other homes, offering a mix of affordable housing for either purchase or rent through community housing providers.
Recently, we celebrated the opening of a new reserve at the centre of the development. The reserve features a shelter, barbecues, bicycle racks, and a wetland area designed to catch excess rainwater.
The Seaton project is being delivered in partnership with Renewal SA, marking the most significant investment in new housing in the area since its original post-war development.
