A new $801.5 million agreement between the State Government and the Commonwealth will support the construction of 6,877 homes for South Australian first homebuyers.

This makes South Australia the first state signed on to deliver its share of the 100,000 first homebuyer homes committed under the national housing program.

South Australia currently has 14,916 homes under construction (as at September 2025), the highest number ever recorded for the state.

The funding package includes $534 million in concessional loans and a $133.6 million grant to expand key housing initiatives already underway.
